In Kyrgyzstan, a man accused of murder and rape was found dead in a pre-trial detention center

Kumarbek Abdyrov, accused of committing a number of murders and rapes, was found dead in a cell of a pre-trial detention center in Bishkek. This was reported on February 8 in the press service of the State Penitentiary Service of Kyrgyzstan.

"The investigative and operational group of the State Penitentiary Service, together with representatives of the Prosecutor's Office for the supervision of compliance with laws in institutions, went to the scene of the incident. The necessary materials have been collected upon the incident and registered in accordance with the established procedure. Forensic medical examinations have been appointed, and a pre—investigation check is underway," the State Penitentiary Service added.
