Over the past day, the Russian military has destroyed 28 drones of various types in the skies over the Kursk region, the governor of the region, Alexander Khinstein, said on February 8.

"In total, from 9:00 a.m. on February 7 to 7:00 a.m. on February 8, 28 enemy drones of various types were shot down," a message on his Telegram channel said.

During the day from February 7-8, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) launched 23 artillery strikes on the resettled areas. Khinstein clarified that 10 times the drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the territory of the region, dropping explosive devices.

It is known that after the attacks in the village of Dichnya, Kurchatov district, the roof of a country house was damaged. No one was injured.

The day before, Khinstein reported that one person was killed and three injured as a result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces strikes in the region. Among the injured is a 13—year-old girl. It was noted that during the attack, one of the drones fell into the territory of a private house, resulting in a fire.

On February 7, Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of the region, reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had fired 10 rockets at Belgorod, and two people were injured. As a result of the attack, two commercial and infrastructure facilities, 38 cars, three apartments in two apartment buildings and 12 private houses were damaged. As a result of the shelling of the region, 41 settlements were affected.
