On February 7, the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia opened a criminal case against a rehabilitation center in the Moscow region after an attempt to forcibly inject an unknown drug into a journalist.
"The investigative authorities of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Moscow region have opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements")," the statement on the Investigative Committee's website says.
The head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed Yaroslav Yakovlev, head of the Main Investigative Department for the Moscow Region, to report on the progress of the investigation and the circumstances established.
On February 6, the REN TV team revealed the underground forced rehabilitation market. During the experiment, the correspondent of the black orderlies TV channel was forcibly injected with an unknown sedative in order to take him to rehab.
