Saving water has become the most common eco-habit of Russians
Saving water is the most common eco-habit of Russians. This was reported on February 8 by Gazeta.Ru" with reference to a study conducted by Sibur and the Avito Work service.
"The most common eco—habits include: saving water (36%), as well as electronics and plastic reuse (23% each)," the publication says.
There is also an increase in the number of Russian residents who introduce recycled plastic items into their everyday lives. In total, more than half of Russians practice environmental activities — 60%. It is also popular to purchase used goods or repair them instead of buying them. Most often, the opportunity is used by service sector workers.
Russians who are heavily involved in eco-activism are most often in the habit of sorting waste.
Last year, on the Day of the National Flag of Russia, on August 22, in Sevastopol, near the Sapun Gora memorial complex, an All-Russian environmental campaign "Peculiarities of national cleaning" was held. The event was organized by the Compass Foundation and is aimed at increasing people's attention to environmental issues. The action was attended by representatives of the Association of Special Military Operations (SVO) for the protection of Donbass, top officials of the region, as well as schoolchildren and students.
