The liberation of the Popovka settlement allows the Russian Armed Forces (RF Armed Forces) to advance in two directions. This was announced on February 8 by military expert Andrei Marochko.

"I think that by liberating Popovka, our guys will build on their success in both the north-west and south-east directions," he told TASS.

Marochko expressed hope for the speedy liberation of the village of Alexandrovka.
