The Italian national team topped the medal standings after the first day of the 2026 Olympic Games (9OI-2026).

A total of five sets of awards were awarded on February 7. The first place in the competition is shared by Italy, Norway and Japan — each team scored a gold, silver and bronze medal.

The fourth place is currently occupied by the Swedish national team — athletes from this country received gold and silver medals. The Swiss national team is in fifth place, with one gold medal in their piggy bank.

Canada, China and Slovenia also added bronze medals to their medal standings.
