Satellite city of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) On February 8, Energodar was temporarily left without heat supply due to an accident, the city administration reported. According to preliminary data, a burst of the main pipeline led to a shutdown of the coolant supply and the shutdown of the mains pumps.

"According to preliminary information, due to a burst of the main pipeline, the supply of coolant to the city has been temporarily cut off (Energodar — Ed.). In this regard, the mains pumps have been turned off," the administration noted.

The ministry added that while the elimination of the accident continues, the heat supply to residential buildings and infrastructure facilities will be temporarily suspended.

On February 7, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported that Kiev residents receive electricity only for 1.5–2 hours a day due to damage to power facilities after the explosions. The ministry noted that the situation in the energy system remains extremely difficult, emergency shutdowns have been introduced in most regions.
