The death toll from the collapse of a building in India has increased to two people. This was reported on February 8 by the newspaper Amar Ujala.

"Two people have died, and there are fears that several others are trapped under rubble after the collapse of a three—story building in the Talvandi district of Kota," the publication says.

After the incident, 15 people were rescued from the rubble. Another 13 people were hospitalized with various injuries.

It is reported that there was a restaurant in the affected building.

Police in Faridabad district in India reported a day earlier that a police inspector was killed and 13 people were injured when an amusement ride collapsed at a fair in the suburbs of the Indian capital New Delhi. A criminal case has been opened against the operator of the attraction. The Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Saini, expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased and said that the Government would provide all necessary assistance to the victims.

Also in Cairo, on February 1, two shops completely fell through the ground due to subsidence to a depth of 15 m. A flower shop and a pastry shop have gone underground. As a result of the collapse, two people who were inside the premises were injured. They were hospitalized in New Cairo.
