Brad Arnold, the lead singer of the rock band 3 Doors Down, has died at the age of 47 after a long illness. This was announced on February 7 on the page of the musical group on the Instagram social network (owned by Meta, whose activities are recognized as extremist in Russia and banned).

"Surrounded by his beloved wife Jennifer and his family, he died peacefully in his sleep after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones," the publication says.

About seven months ago, the artist informed fans that he was fighting the fourth stage of one of the types of kidney cancer. He added that the disease had metastasized to the lung.

Arnold founded the band 3 Doors Down in 1996 together with several school friends. The band gained wide fame thanks to the composition "Kryptonite", which, according to the artist, he wrote during his studies in high school.
