Simonyan established the Tigran Keosayan Award
RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan has established an award named after her husband, TV presenter Tigran Keosayan. She announced this on January 7 in the Telegram channel.
Simonyan noted that she made this decision after the story of two kindergarten teachers in Buguruslan, who neutralized an attacker with a knife.
"I am establishing a prize, the Tigran Prize. I will personally give this award to people like this teacher, that is, just good, right people," she said.
On February 5, the head of Buguruslan, Dmitry Dyachenko, said that a man armed with a knife entered a kindergarten, where, according to preliminary data, he broke down the door. It was clarified that at the time of the incident, the staff of the institution managed to press the alarm button. One of the teachers, Liya Nailevna Galeeva, got in the way of the attacker. As a result of the incident, the teacher was injured. She was helped. At the same time, none of the minors were injured.
