Lukashenko declares solidarity of Belarus with Pakistan in the fight against terrorism

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko expressed his condolences to the Pakistani authorities after the terrorist attack in the Islamabad mosque, noting that Minsk stands in solidarity with Islamabad, which resolutely fights all forms of terrorism and religious extremism. Addressing Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, the Belarusian leader noted that Minsk had received the news of the terrorist attack, which killed and injured a large number of civilians, with deep pain.

"I am sure that all those responsible for this terrible crime will be punished accordingly," the text says.

Lukashenko also expressed his condolences to Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. The press service noted that the Belarusian leader, on behalf of his compatriots and himself, asked to convey words of support to the families and friends of the victims. He wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
