Fraudsters have invented a new scheme to deceive Russians under the guise of delivering a birthday gift, RIA Novosti reported on February 7.

Scammers call a person, posing as couriers, stating that they will bring him a gift for the holiday, without revealing the name of the giver. Next, the subscriber receives a "parcel code", which the criminals ask to name "for reconciliation." This is how they get access to personal data.
