Russian figure skater Pyotr Gumennik successfully performed at the Olympic selection to the soundtrack from the film "The Perfumer", then they did not warn about possible copyright problems. Figure skating coach Tatiana Tarasova told Izvestia about this on February 7.

"[Humennik], in order to participate in the Olympic Games, went to the qualifying competitions, which they (the organizers of the Olympics. — Ed.) arranged it. I rode there beautifully. And no one said anything [about music]," she said.

Tarasova admitted that the ban for Humennik to perform to a previously approved soundtrack occurred on purpose. She also called the situation around the performance of the Russian athlete disgusting.

Earlier that day, it was reported that Humennik was banned from performing at the Olympics to the soundtrack from "The Perfumer" due to copyright issues. In response to the injustice towards the athlete, social media users launched a hashtag, which translated into Russian sounds like "Let Peter Humennik ride under the "Perfumer".
