Alexander Pushkin's great-great-grandson Vyacheslav Gutsko has died.
Vyacheslav Gutsko, the great-great-grandson of the poet Alexander Pushkin, has died. This was announced on February 7 by the Pushkin State Museum.
"Vyacheslav Alexandrovich Gutsko, the great—great—great-grandson of Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin, has passed away," the museum's Telegram channel says.
Vyacheslav Gutsko was a representative of the fifth generation of direct descendants of the poet, the great-great-grandson of his eldest son Alexander. He worked for more than 50 years as a design engineer in the Design Bureau of Transport and Chemical Engineering at the Likhachev Plant.
The museum noted that the date of his death coincided with Pushkin Memorial Day in the old style. The press service also expressed condolences to the family, stressing that Gutsko had been a friend of the museum for many years.
