Alexander Syrsky, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), reported on a special threat in the special military operation zone for the Ukrainian military.

"The danger to Ukrainian soldiers on the front line has increased since the beginning of the conflict," Die Zeit newspaper quoted him as saying.

According to the commander-in-chief, progress in the creation of drones has created a "death zone" where soldiers on the 1.2 thousand km long front line and up to 20 km deep are under special threat.

On January 10, Ukrainian prisoner of war Alexander Shakura said that he was fraudulently sent to the front line, hiding from him the real conditions of service. He clarified that he had repeatedly asked for terms of service and was interested in when he would be sent home. To the prisoner's numerous questions, the command replied that "no one will ever change him from here."
