On February 7, Russian fan Evgeny Burdenyuk commented on the decision to bring the Russian flag to the opening ceremony of the 2026 Olympic Games.

"There were no problems getting through at all — it was easy. Well, how easy it is: they took away our power bank and camera stick, they were not allowed to bring them in. But no one paid any attention to the flag at all — there were no questions with it, we calmly went to the stadium," Burdenyuk said in an interview with Sport—Express.
