The American company SpaceX has decided to temporarily postpone sending a space mission to Mars in order to pay more attention to studying the Earth's satellite and implement the lunar program of the US space agency NASA. This was reported on February 6 by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), citing sources.

"SpaceX has postponed its planned mission to Mars this year, shifting its focus to NASA's long—promised trip to the moon," the publication says.

It is noted that the organization has already informed investors about its plans. SpaceX expects the company to be able to conduct a mission to land on the moon without human intervention as early as 2027.

On January 25, a SpaceX rocket launched another group of 25 Starlink Internet satellites into orbit. The launch was carried out from the SLC-4E site at the Vandenberg base in California.

On February 1, SpaceX submitted an application for the creation of orbital data centers for artificial intelligence (AI). A single circuit will include the production of rockets and space technologies. The Starlink satellite system will become part of the combined assets. The Grok AI project and the X social network (ex. Twitter) will be part of the overall ecosystem.
