Trump announced the imminent talks between Washington and Tehran
US President Donald Trump said that the next round of talks between Washington and Tehran is scheduled for early next week. This was announced on February 6 by Trump himself, talking to reporters on board the plane en route to Florida.
The American leader noted the Iranian side's commitment to dialogue.
"We're going to meet again early next week. They want to make a deal," Trump said.
He also stressed the interest of the United States in reaching an agreement.
"They should want to make a deal," the president added.
The New York Times reported earlier in the day that Middle Eastern diplomats doubt the possibility of reaching comprehensive agreements between the United States and Iran. According to the newspaper, the parties have not yet come to an agreement on the range of issues for negotiations. It was noted that Donald Trump had imposed conditions on Iran regarding its nuclear program, missile weapons and support for regional groups. At the same time, experts pointed out that even in the case of an agreement, it may be limited.
