In order to encourage legal economic practices, it is worthwhile to exempt tips from personal income tax (personal income tax). On January 7, Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Boris Chernyshov addressed this proposal to Finance Minister Anton Siluanov.

"In order to eliminate this systemic contradiction, provide real income support to citizens and stimulate legal economic practices, I propose to introduce an exemption from personal income tax on tips (voluntary rewards) received from individuals, including when using non—cash services and platforms," RIA Novosti quotes a fragment of the document.
