A criminal case has been opened in St. Petersburg over the negligence of the management of a school and a social service institution in the Krasnoselsky district of the city after the murder of a nine-year-old boy. This was reported on February 6 in the press service of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation.

"A criminal case has been opened into the negligence of officials of one of the schools, as well as a social service institution in the Krasnoselsky district of St. Petersburg (Part 2 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," the report says.

The UK clarified that the school staff, knowing that one of the children had reached the age for admission to school, did not provide the mother with the necessary assistance in enrolling him in an educational institution.
