The authorities of the Irkutsk region have introduced a regional emergency regime after a utility accident affecting the water and heat supply systems in the city of Bodaibo. This was announced on February 6 by Governor Igor Kobzev.

"By his decree, he introduced a regional emergency regime due to the situation in Bodaibo. Today, such a decision was made at an off—site meeting of the Emergency Situations Ministry directly in the city," he said in his Telegram channel.

Roman Kolesov, First Deputy Governor, was appointed head of liquidation.
