Soviet TV presenter and announcer Svetlana Zhiltsova was buried at the Rogozhsky Cemetery in Moscow. This was reported on February 6 by a correspondent of Izvestia.
The farewell to Zhiltsova took place in the church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, which is located next to the cemetery. The ceremony was attended by relatives, as well as colleagues of the TV presenter. Her grave was covered with fir branches, and the people saying goodbye brought many flowers.
Zhiltsova's death at the age of 90 became known on February 3. According to her son, the cause of death was a long-term illness.
Zhiltsova is known as the host of the program "Good night, kids." She also participated in the programs "Funny Notes", "Alarm Clock", the TV magazine "Pioneer", as well as in various quizzes. Since 1963, she has been hosting KVN.
