On Monday, February 9, luge skier Daria Olesik will compete at the 2026 Olympic Games. She will take part in two single sled races. The first one will be held at 19:00, and the second one at 20:30.
Two more arrivals are scheduled for February 10. The third launch will take place at 19:00 Moscow time, and the fourth — at 20:40. The athlete will represent Russia in a neutral status, without using national symbols.
Daria Olesik was born in 2004 in the city of Bratsk, Irkutsk region. At the age of 10, inspired by the successes of Russian athletes at the 2014 Olympics, she began training in the luge section.
In 2017, Olesik won a bronze medal at the Russian Youth Cup among girls aged 14-15 in Sochi, and a year later joined the junior national team. At the same time, she took third place in the Russian championship in single sledge among girls. She also represented Russia at the Junior World Cup.

In 2025, Oslesik received a neutral status and the right to participate in the World Cup.
