On February 6, a resident of the recently liberated village of Yampol in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) spoke about the tragic events of 2022, when, according to him, the Ukrainian military launched a missile attack on local residents who came to receive humanitarian aid.

"On December 7, 2022, the center of Yampol was struck. People gathered there and received humanitarian aid. They determined that there was a Ukrainian strike, because people saw where the shanks fell, that is, they determined the direction of the strike. My father was there, and my wife was there. They fell to the ground. It turns out that the father shut his wife down, he was severely injured," he said.

According to the man, foreign journalists were already on duty near the scene of the incident, who tried to document the crimes of the Kiev regime, presenting them as allegedly the actions of Russian military personnel.

"There was a foreign press not far from this place, the center of Yampol. <...> As soon as the blow was struck, they immediately drove up and started filming it all to blame the Russian side," he added.

On January 26, refugees from Yampol spoke about shootings in basements and looting by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Local residents asked the militants to evacuate them, but they refused, arguing that the residents allegedly had three years to do so.
