A criminal case has been opened in the Krasnoyarsk Territory on fraud, the victim of which was a 55-year-old woman. She lost more than 4 million rubles.

According to the victim, she met a man online who introduced himself as a businessman in the field of investment. He convinced the woman to invest the money to make a profit. A resident of Dudinka applied for loans from three different banks and transferred funds to third-party accounts for eight months. The KrasnoyarskMedia news agency writes about this.

The new acquaintance stopped contacting her, and the woman contacted the police. An inspection is underway.

A resident of Ulan-Ude suffered as a result of a similar scam. The conman convinced her to "invest" her savings. In addition, the victim asked three friends to apply for loans. The total damage amounted to 4 million rubles.
