The Central Bank of the Russian Federation lowered its key rate to 15.5% per annum. This was announced on February 13 on the official website of the regulator.

This meeting of the Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia was the first in 2026.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said on February 3 that inflation in Russia in 2026 will be at the level of 4-4.5%. According to him, this year's inflation figures will approach the Central Bank's target for December 2025 of 4%. This is the target inflation rate that the regulator is targeting.
