The Geely Coolray crossover may return to sale in Russia in 2026.
Geely has allowed the resumption of deliveries of Coolray crossovers to the Russian market this year. This was reported on February 6 by Rossiyskaya Gazeta with reference to the brand's press service.
The Russian representative office of Geely said that they are considering the possibility of supplying Coolray. If the decision to resume sales is made, the model will appear on the market no earlier than April.
The fact that the Geely Coolray crossover, which was updated on the Russian market in 2023, disappeared from the list of brand models offered in the country, became known in early November last year. The role of the "junior" crossover in the Geely line in the Russian Federation is now assigned to the Cityray model, which is one step below the Atlas.
The first-generation Geely Coolray is still sold in Russia, but under the Belgee brand, as is the Emgrand sedan, and both are produced in Belarus. The original Emgrand was supplied to Russia from China, but with the advent of the Belgee S50, the entry-level sedan was no longer imported.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that the Russian Xcite brand cars, which were produced at the former Nissan plant in St. Petersburg, were almost out of dealers. According to Autostat, there are about 1 thousand unsold cars left in stock. Xcite X-Cross 7 crossovers are almost over, X-Cross 8 can still be found at dealers.
