As of the end of January, slightly less than 20 thousand cars of the Russian brand Solaris remain at the former Hyundai plant in St. Petersburg and in the dealer network. Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, told about this on February 6 in his Telegram channel.

According to him, there are practically no HS sedans (an analogue of Hyundai Solaris) left. About 60% of the stock is accounted for by HC crossovers (Hyundai Creta). Stocks of KRX hatchbacks (Kia Rio X) are slightly less than KRS sedans (Kia Rio).

In total, from March 2024 to December 2025, just over 70,000 Solaris vehicles were assembled at the company in St. Petersburg. HC crossovers accounted for more than 40%. By the end of January this year, 50.9 thousand cars of the brand were sold in the Russian Federation. These are 18.8 thousand HC crossovers, 16 thousand HS sedans, about 9 thousand KRX hatchbacks and 7.1 thousand KRS sedans.

"Solaris dealers are likely to "stretch" sales for the whole year. Let me remind you that only 1,536 new Solaris vehicles were sold in January," the expert noted.

The former Hyundai concern plant in St. Petersburg, acquired by the Russian company Art Finance, was renamed the AGR Automobile Plant in early 2024. The company has launched the production of cars of the new Solaris brand, which are renamed Hyundai and Kia.

Earlier, on February 2, it was reported that Hyundai Motor did not use the option to buy back its former production plant in Russia, which was valid until January 31, 2026. Auto expert Maxim Kadakov noted that there were no prerequisites and conditions for Hyundai's return to Russia a year ago, when discussions of such a development appeared in the media.
