A schoolboy accidentally swallowed a plastic chopstick. He was hospitalized in the Lipetsk Regional Children's Hospital, the press service of the regional Ministry of Health reports.

"The teenager told the doctors that he ate candy while doing his homework. At some point, I thought about it and accidentally swallowed a plastic stick with the remains of a lollipop," said the head of the department, Lilia Samoshina, quoted by GOROD48.

A foreign body is stuck in the esophagus. Anesthesia was required to remove the wand. The doctors successfully performed the procedure. Now the victim feels well, he was released home.
