Auto expert named the most unpopular used foreign cars in Russia
There are brands in the used car market in Russia that are particularly in demand from buyers. This was stated by Vadim Chernousov, director of the used car sales department at Rolf, who listed such brands, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reported on February 6.
So, according to him, compact cars of the Italian brand Fiat, although very popular in Europe, interest in them in Russia is extremely limited. The expert called Acura, which belongs to Honda, the second unpopular brand. Such cars can be found on the roads of the country, but there is very little demand for them.
The specialist named Saab as the third brand (it is now closed). The Swedish brand has a long history and many fans, but it is not popular in the secondary market of the Russian Federation.
Also, as Chernousov noted, in Russia, Ravon brand cars from Uzbekistan and Chinese Livan are practically not bought on the secondary market. According to Rolf statistics, all models of the above brands had the same sales volume in 2025 — 10 units.
Earlier, on January 27, it was reported that in 2025, used car sales in Russia amounted to almost 6.24 million units. This is 3.3% more than a year earlier. Five brands account for half of the Russian secondary market, while Lada remains the leader.
