In Novosibirsk, a man planned to kill a 72-year-old mother for refusing maintenance

In Novosibirsk, law enforcement officers managed to prevent the murder of a 72-year-old woman, who was ordered by her son for refusing to keep him. This was announced on February 6 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Irina Volk.

"The contract killing was prevented by my Novosibirsk colleagues. Operatives have detained a local resident suspected of ordering the murder of his mother," she wrote on the MAX messenger.

Volk added that the 49-year-old previously convicted man had planned to commit the crime back in December last year. The motive, according to preliminary data, could be the woman's unwillingness to provide for her son.

The website of the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation for the Novosibirsk region reported that the detainee is charged in accordance with Part 3 of Article 33, paragraph "h" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Preparation for murder for hire, expressed in the search for accomplices in a crime, inducing another person to commit a crime by persuasion and bribery, which was not completed due to circumstances beyond the control of the person").

They also stressed that in order to realize his plans, the defendant turned to one of the local residents of the city, offering him a monetary reward for carrying out the work.

The person who received the order, in turn, not wanting to participate in the crime, appealed to employees of investigative and law enforcement agencies, who began to monitor the development of the case.

The department clarified that in the near future, a petition for the election of a preventive measure in the form of detention against the customer will be sent to court.
