Summary of the special operation in Ukraine for the week

A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. In response to Ukraine's terrorist attacks on civilian targets in Russia, the Russian Armed Forces carried out massive and five group strikes, which affected military industry enterprises of the Kiev regime, energy and transport infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), ammunition depots, production and storage sites for unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries.

As a result of active offensive actions, units of the North group of forces liberated the settlements of Zelenoe in the Kharkiv region and Popovka in the Sumy region. The enemy lost more than 1,415 people, a tank, two armored combat vehicles, 78 vehicles, nine field artillery guns and four launchers of the HIMARS multiple rocket launcher system manufactured by the United States. Three electronic warfare and counter-battery warfare stations were destroyed, as well as 33 ammunition and materiel depots.

The military personnel of the Zapad group of forces defeated the manpower and equipment of four mechanized, two airmobile, amphibious assault, two assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two air defense brigades and a National Guard brigade. The enemy's losses amounted to over 1,180 soldiers, a tank, 14 armored combat vehicles, 105 vehicles and 15 field artillery pieces. 29 ammunition and materiel depots were destroyed.

The southern group of troops liberated the village of Stepanovka in the DPR, and also defeated the equipment and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Kiev regime forces lost more than 1,050 militants, five tanks, and 19 armored combat vehicles, including five foreign-made ones. 105 vehicles, 16 artillery pieces, five radio-electronic and counter-battery warfare stations, 27 ammunition depots, fuel and materiel were destroyed.

The Center group of troops continued active offensive operations and liberated the settlements of Toretsk and Sukhetskoye in the DPR and defeated the manpower and equipment of the Kiev formations. During the week, enemy losses in this area amounted to over 2,560 people, a tank, 35 armored combat vehicles, 81 vehicles and 13 field artillery guns.

Units of the Vostok group of forces advanced deep into the enemy's defenses and liberated the settlements of Staroukrainka, Petrovka and Pridorozhnoye in the Zaporizhia region. In total, the enemy lost more than 2,545 soldiers, three tanks, 36 armored combat vehicles, 96 vehicles and six artillery pieces in the area of responsibility of the Vostok group of forces.

The military personnel of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the manpower and equipment of two mechanized mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the air defense brigade. The enemy's losses amounted to 330 militants, an armored combat vehicle, 62 vehicles, eight artillery pieces, a Buk anti-aircraft missile launcher, 12 electronic warfare and counter-battery warfare stations, as well as six material depots.

Air defense systems shot down 23 guided aerial bombs, 63 US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, four Neptune long-range guided missiles and 1,080 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 670 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 112714 unmanned aerial vehicles, 650 anti-aircraft missile systems, 27522 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1659 multiple rocket launchers, 33107 field artillery guns and mortars, 53786 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
