- Drones have been connected to the search for a Yekaterinburg woman who disappeared on Valaam
Drones began to be used to search for Natalia Prostakova, a resident of Yekaterinburg, who disappeared under mysterious circumstances on the island of Valaam. Dog handlers are also involved in the search.
This was reported to the news agency " <url>" in the Information and public Relations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Karelia.
The agency also writes that a resident of Yekaterinburg has been living at the monastery on Valaam, in the spiritual center of Russia, for the last six months. On February 2, she left the church after the evening service, but did not return to the hotel where the pilgrims live. The novices contacted the police.
Earlier, on February 1, it was reported that a two-day search for traces of the missing Usoltsev family had failed. The loss of the Usoltsev family in the Minsk Loop area became known on September 28, 2025, when they were heading to Mount Pinocchio. Over 515 km of forest roads and 40 square kilometers of woodlands were explored in the search. The active phase of the search was completed on October 12, but the work continued in the format of point tasks, which were entrusted to certified rescuers.
