An attempt on Lieutenant General Vladimir Alekseev's life took place in a house on the Volokolamsk Highway in Moscow. Footage near the scene of the attack on February 6 is published by Izvestia.

The official representative of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Svetlana Petrenko, in turn, said that investigators were looking for the man who shot Alekseev in the northwest of Moscow.
On the same day, it was reported that in an apartment building located on the Volokolamsk highway, an unknown man fired several shots at Alekseev, after which he fled the scene. It was noted that the victim was hospitalized in one of the city hospitals. A criminal case has been opened into the incident. At the same time, the Moscow Prosecutor's office took control of the investigation of the case.
