The designer named simple ways to update the interior by spring
With the approach of calendar spring, Russians are increasingly thinking about updating their home space. Ksenia Kuznetsova, designer and product director of the interior company Mr.Doors, told Izvestia on February 10 that simple techniques that will help refresh the interior without major repairs.
According to the expert, the most effective way to renovate an apartment is to rearrange the furniture. It works even in small rooms, if you plan the room in advance, taking into account the size of the objects, their functions and the lifestyle of the owners. This approach allows you to see new scenarios for the use of space and identify things that have long lost their relevance.
"After the rearrangement, it is necessary to deal with the clutter. Selling or transferring unnecessary items through special services helps not only to free up space, but also to form a useful habit of regularly updating the interior at no extra cost," the expert explained.
Kuznetsova recommends paying special attention to textiles and decor. With the arrival of spring, thick curtains and wool blankets should be replaced with products made of light fabrics — linen, cotton or organza, as well as add bright shades that visually add energy and warmth to the room.
Another simple way to create a sense of renewal is with live plants and flower arrangements. Even inexpensive bouquets or twigs, according to the designer, can noticeably enliven the space and emphasize seasonal changes in the interior.
Architect Pavel Matveev said on January 3 that in order to increase the cost of the apartment, its owner needs to work with the layout. Recalling the importance of observing the principles of the "golden ratio", he stressed that what matters to buyers is not so much the number of rooms themselves as their ratio to each other and to the total area of the purchased housing. According to him, in an apartment with an area of about 60 square meters, three small bedrooms may be less comfortable than two more spacious ones. The expert also urged people who intend to sell their existing living space in the future to avoid sharp corners and sloping walls, which can create inconvenience to a potential buyer.
