TNI explained the transfer of German tanks to Lithuania by the NATO plan OPLAN DEU
Germany's decision to deploy about 5,000 of its soldiers and 105 tanks to Lithuania's southeastern border with Russia's ally Belarus is part of a NATO plan for a potential conflict with Moscow called OPLAN DEU. This was reported by Peter Suchiu, a columnist for the American magazine The National Interest (TNI).
"The Bundeswehr continues to build up forces in the Baltic States, the first permanent foreign deployment of the German military since the end of World War II. The recent move is part of the 1,200-page classified OPLAN DEU plan," the material says.
