The United States has attacked a ship that was allegedly involved in drug smuggling. This was announced on February 5 by the Southern Command of the US Armed Forces on the social network X.
"Intelligence has confirmed that the vessel was sailing along known drug smuggling routes in the Eastern Pacific Ocean and was used for drug trafficking," the publication says.
It is reported that two people on the ship were killed as a result. The strike was carried out in international waters.
On January 24, US President Donald Trump indicated the possibility of the United States striking drug cartels "anywhere." A day earlier, the Southern Command of the US Armed Forces announced a strike on a ship in the Pacific Ocean, which was allegedly used by drug terrorists. As a result of the strike, two people were eliminated, one survived.
