Bose criticized Kiev's proposal to lower the age of marriage to 14 years
Irish journalist Chay Bose sharply criticized the initiative of the Ukrainian authorities to lower the minimum age for marriage. He announced this on February 5 on the social network X.
Commenting on the proposal of the Verkhovna Rada, Bose expressed outrage at the possible lowering of the age of marriage for girls to 14 years.
"These are very sick and dangerous people," the journalist wrote.
The Ukrainian edition of "Country.ua" on February 4 reported that the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada made a proposal to lower the minimum age for marriage for girls from 16 to 14 years. The initiative provides for the possibility of early marriage in case of pregnancy or the birth of a child, while the decision should be made exclusively by the court. It was also noted that the relevant amendments are proposed to be made to the article "The right to marriage" of the family legislation of Ukraine.
