On February 3, the Libya al-Ahrar TV channel reported the murder of the son of the former head of Libya in the south of the state during a military attack. The next day, supporters of al-Islam said that his murder deprives the country of a chance for a peaceful settlement of the internal conflict.
Ahmed Gaddafi, the nephew of the murdered man, posted his uncle's last audio message on February 4, in which he criticized the foreign invasion of Libya after the so-called Arab Spring of 2011.
