Bloomberg reported on the political split within Estonia over Russia
Estonian President Alar Karis and Prime Minister Kristen Michal disagreed on their position on negotiations with Russia. This was reported on February 5 by Bloomberg.
It is noted that Karis advocated the idea of direct negotiations with the Russian Federation, while Michal reacted negatively to the initiative.
"Statement by the President of Estonia on support for direct negotiations between the European Union (EU)> and Moscow provoked a negative reaction from the government of one of the most ardent hardliners in the EU," the publication says.
