Russia and Brazil step up business cooperation in key sectors
Russia and Brazil plan to set a new record for bilateral trade in 2026. This was announced on February 5 by the head of the Council of Entrepreneurs "Russia‑Brazil" by Andrey Guryev.
According to him, the countries are actively developing cooperation in key sectors of the economy, including the agro-industrial complex, energy, IT technologies and industrial production. Last year, the trade turnover between Russia and Brazil was approaching $12.4 billion, and this year both sides expect to significantly exceed this figure.
It is expected that the strengthening of cooperation will allow Russia and Brazil to consolidate their leadership in bilateral trade and achieve new strategic targets.
In 2025, China significantly increased fish exports to Russia, reaching a record high of $188 million. The total value of fish shipped from China to Russia last year amounted to $141.1 million, which means an increase of 34% in annual terms and the highest figures since 2015.
