The Maslenitsa Festival will be held in Moscow from February 13 to 22. The events will take place at about 30 venues in different parts of the city. This was announced by Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.

As part of the event, guests are invited to taste pancakes, take part in culinary and creative workshops, sports competitions and interactive programs, as well as attend musical performances and performances based on fairy tales.

"Citizens and tourists will be able to get acquainted with the festive traditions of different regions of Russia, learn the basics of weaving and art painting, and prepare hearty treats," Natalia Sergunina said.

Tverskaya Boulevard will be the main venue of the festival. Orchestra performances, theatrical performances and sports quests are planned here. In addition, visitors will be presented with products from Russian brands, including cosmetics, home decor, candles, accessories and sweet gifts.

Workshops on creating felt garlands and satin ribbons, as well as folk dolls, will be held on Tverskaya Square. On Koptevsky Boulevard, participants will be able to paint on wood, on Admiral Rudnev Street — modeling toys from clay, on Matveevskaya Street — making napkins with lace.

Cooking classes will be held in several locations, including Orekhovy Boulevard, Svyatoozerskaya Street and Teply Stan. Participants will be offered to cook pancakes with various fillings — berries, meat, cottage cheese and other ingredients.

One of the special features of the festival will be the design of the venues in the national style. More than 300 unique dolls have been created for the event, and among the decorative elements are figurines of horses, gingerbread and lollipops.

The poster and addresses of all venues will be published in the Russpass travel service with the possibility to select events on an interactive map.

The Maslenitsa Festival will be held within the framework of the Winter in Moscow project, aimed at strengthening social and family ties, as well as supporting participants and veterans of a special military operation and their families.
