Starting from February 7, Moscow will adjust the operation of 23 ground transport routes in different districts of the capital. This was announced on Thursday, February 5, by the press service of the metropolitan Department of Transport.

Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Transport and Industry, noted that buses and electric buses will run more frequently on some routes, while new stops will appear on others. According to him, the changes will allow residents of large residential areas and visitors to social institutions to get to the nearest rail transport stations faster and more conveniently. He added that the modernization of the route network is being carried out on behalf of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and is aimed at improving the comfort of travel, the Moscow City News agency reports.

Two social routes c511 and c811 will become district routes 511 and 811. Electric buses on route 511 will run more frequently, and its initial stop will be located at a large residential complex on Bochkova Street, which will provide residents with direct access to the city center and the Bolshaya Koltsevaya Metro Line.

Route No. 811 will be extended to the Nagatinskaya metro station, and route No. 934 will change the traffic pattern and will follow Universitetskiy Prospekt instead of Lomonosovsky and Leninsky Avenues.

In addition, there will be three new oncoming stops for the five routes. The Volovya Street stop will begin serving route No. 74 in both directions, the Zhemchugovaya Alley stop will serve routes No. 208 and 408, and the Bolshaya Filevskaya Street stop on Novozavodskaya Street will serve routes No. 366 and c369 in both directions, Moscow 24 writes.
