Naryshkin declared Russia's commitment to all articles of the treaty with Iran
Russia and Iran are partners, and Moscow intends to strictly adhere to all the points of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement concluded between the two countries. This was announced on February 5 by Sergey Naryshkin, Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR).
"Iran is our partner. You definitely remembered and mentioned the agreement that was concluded between Iran and the Russian Federation, and we will adhere to it in all its articles," TASS quoted him as saying.
Naryshkin pointed out that there is also very good cooperation between the two countries through the special services, notes "Газета.Ru ".
"If we talk about cooperation through special services, I want to confirm once again that the SVR has very good contacts with the relevant structures of Iran. Good cooperation that does not stop under any circumstances," he added.
The Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement between Russia and Iran, signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian leader Masoud Peseshkian, entered into force on December 2, 2025. It was noted that the document defines, among other things, cooperation in the international arena, as well as close coordination within the framework of multilateral associations.
The leaders signed the document on January 17 last year, which brought bilateral relations between Moscow and Tehran to a new level. Putin called the agreement a breakthrough, and the tasks set for the two countries ambitious.
