A day of mourning has been declared in the Krasnoyarsk Territory district after a bus accident

February 6 has been declared a day of mourning in the Kansk District of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The reason is the death of five local residents in an accident.

On the day of mourning, national flags will be flown at half-mast throughout the district. The district administration, cultural institutions and other organizations should not hold entertainment and cultural events, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency with reference to the district administration.

A fatal accident involving a bus occurred in the Rybinsk municipal district on February 2. An IVECO truck towing a modular house lost its trailer — it disconnected, drove into the oncoming lane and crashed into a passenger Gazelle. There were 13 people in her cabin: teenagers and escorts. As a result of the accident, five people were killed — four teenagers and one 31-year-old escort. Several more people were taken to the hospital.

The truck driver, who became the culprit of a traffic accident with the dead, was detained in accordance with Article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation.
