Sales of the new generation Omoda C5 crossover will start in Russia in mid-March. This was reported on February 5 by Rossiyskaya Gazeta, citing a source in the dealer community.

A private screening of the new Omoda C5 took place in Moscow at the end of December. It is known that the novelty shares the same platform with the Jaecoo J6 crossover, which is scheduled to go on sale in Russia in the first half of the year.

Omoda C5 is made in the style of the flagship crossover C7. The length of the car is 4545 mm, the wheelbase is 2630 mm. Relative to the second-generation C5, the length of the SUV has increased by 145 mm. The second-generation C5 will be introduced in Russia with a 1.5—liter turbo engine with a capacity of 147 hp. The front-wheel drive version has a six-speed robotic transmission, all-wheel drive has a seven-speed.

The list of equipment will include a large 15-inch center screen, electrically adjustable seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, an ADAS active safety system, six airbags, wireless charging for a smartphone (50 watts), a keyless entry and engine start system, an electric trunk drive and other options.

On February 2, Geely announced Russian sales of a new modification of the Geely Atlas crossover. In the new front-wheel drive version, it is equipped not with a two-liter 200-horsepower engine, as before, but with a less powerful 1.5-liter unit. The price starts from 3.45 million rubles.
