Frost-resistant charging stations for electric cars have begun to be produced in Krasnoyarsk. The local company Radiosvyaz is engaged in the development. Such stations can operate in severe Siberian frosts.

The stations have a heating system and enhanced thermal insulation. The equipment is protected from frost, snow, moisture and dust. The station supports fast charging even in extreme climatic conditions. The connector types are Type 2, CHAdeMO, GB/T, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency with reference to the military and civilian production of Rostec state Corporation.

The agency clarifies that the Krasnoyarsk Territory is in the top 5 regions in terms of the number of charging stations. There are about 200 of them in Krasnoyarsk alone.

Earlier, the analytical agency Autostat reported that according to the results of 2025, a third fewer electric vehicles were sold in Russia than in 2024, 12.5 thousand units. Their share decreased from 1.1% to 0.9%. Against this background, sales of hybrids showed an increase of 9.5%, sales reached 44.8 thousand rubles, and the share increased from 2.6% to 3.4%.
