A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The military personnel of the Zapad group of forces occupied more advantageous lines and positions, and also hit the manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a number of settlements of the DPR and the Kharkiv region. The enemy's losses amounted to 180 soldiers, an armored combat vehicle, 16 vehicles, four field artillery guns and a Grad multiple rocket launcher combat vehicle. Five ammunition depots were destroyed.

The southern group of troops improved the situation along the front line and defeated the enemy in the areas of the DPR settlements. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 125 militants, four armored combat vehicles, nine vehicles, four field artillery guns and a counter-battery radar station. The warehouse of material assets was destroyed.

The Center group of troops has taken more advantageous positions and frontiers. Enemy formations were also defeated in a number of settlements of the DPR and the Dnipropetrovsk region. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to over 310 soldiers, a tank, five armored combat vehicles, 11 vehicles, two artillery pieces, including a 155 mm M777 howitzer made in the USA, and a counter-battery radar station.

The units of the Vostok group of forces continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses. The Ukrainian Armed Forces units were defeated in the areas of settlements in the Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions. The enemy lost more than 360 men, a tank, seven armored combat vehicles, 10 vehicles and a field artillery piece. The warehouse of material assets was destroyed.

The military personnel of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the manpower and equipment of the mechanized and mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of settlements of the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to up to 50 militants, 16 vehicles, three field artillery guns, including a 155 mm M777 howitzer made in the USA, a Buk anti-aircraft missile launcher, three electronic warfare stations and two counter-battery warfare stations. The warehouse of material assets was destroyed.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated transport and energy infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, assembly, storage and launch sites of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, ammunition depots, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 148 areas..

Air defense systems shot down a guided aerial bomb, nine US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and 381 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 670 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 112596 unmanned aerial vehicles, 650 anti-aircraft missile systems, 27503 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1659 multiple rocket launchers, 33080 field artillery guns and mortars, 53713 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
