About 270 people are eliminating the consequences of a railway accident in Transbaikalia

About 270 specialists are working at the site of the accident on the railway in Transbaikalia. They are engaged in cleaning up derailed freight wagons. Two recovery trains and other special equipment were involved in the work.

According to the ChitaMedia news agency with reference to ZABRZHD, Sergey Albitov, acting head of the Trans-Baikal Railway, is in charge of the restoration work. An operational headquarters has been established to eliminate the consequences of the incident.

11 coal wagons derailed on the Khilok–Gyrshelun railway on the night of February 5. There were no casualties. The adjacent tracks were not used during the descent. At the moment, the movement of passenger trains is not disrupted. The causes of the incident are being clarified and the consequences are being eliminated.

On January 24, 20 gondola cars with coal derailed in the Khabarovsk Territory. It is noted that a freight train with 71 gondola cars was moving towards the city of Nakhodka. No one was injured.
