The Investigative Committee has launched an investigation into the death of a 63-year-old woman while visiting a swimming pool in Yakutsk. The incident occurred on February 4 at the Cholbon pool.

According to IA YakutiaMedia, with reference to the press service of the regional Investigative Committee, investigators and operational services went to the scene of the incident. They examined the scene.

The circumstances of the incident are being investigated. A forensic medical examination has been scheduled, and witnesses are being interviewed. Based on the results of the inspection, a decision will be made to institute a criminal case.

Earlier, on December 12, it was reported that in the city of Neryungri in Yakutia, children were poisoned by chlorine vapors while visiting the pool. In total, 11 children were taken to a medical facility, and two more sought help on their own. Poisoning of minors with chlorine vapors in Yakutia was reported a day earlier. Later, the investigative committee opened a criminal case on the provision of services that do not meet security requirements.
